Why Psychotherapy?
We all have times in our lives when we struggle, and too often we end up trying to manage it alone. Maybe you are used to being seen as the strong one that others always depend on...or you do not want to feel like a burden to those you care about...or perhaps you do not trust that others will understand you.
Stress due to a major life event, such as the end of a relationship, identity confusion or change, adjustment to a new environment or role, or a significant loss or trauma are all common reasons to seek out psychotherapy.
With whatever struggle you may be faced with, therapy can be a powerful source of support to get you through difficult times. I provide a challenging, yet affirming and non-judgmental space for self-exploration to help you use your internal strengths and create meaningful change.

TRAUMA-INFORMED PRACTICE
Many of us experience traumatic events in our lives that negatively impacts us in predictable and unpredictable ways. Through a trauma-informed approach, I strive to provide a safe and supportive environment that can both facilitate your healing and celebrate your resilience.
PSYCHODYNAMIC & RELATIONAL APPROACH
Therapy is most effective when you feel a certain level of comfort with your therapist, thus as part of building a strong therapeutic relationship I am transparent and collaborative in my approach. I view issues contextually, and honor the impact of your personal history and socio-cultural identities on your lived experiences.
